Griffintown ist ein historischer, aber vernachlässigter Stadtbezirk von Montreal. Nach 40 Jahren des Niedergangs versucht nun die Regierung der Stadt, das gesamte Areal zu privatisieren - Anlass für uns, eine Melodie neu zu vertexten, die aus der Zeit stammt, als das gegenwärtige Aussehen von Griffintown Gestalt annahm.
Griffintown is a historical, but neglected district next to downtown Montreal. After 40 years of decline, the city government is now trying to hand over the whole area to a private developer in a dubious process.This gave reason to us to write new lyrics to a melody which comes from the time when the current appearance of Griffintown took shape.
