The Sami artist Elle Márjá Eira is portrayed through her personal joik, performed by her father Per Henrik Eira. Throughout this film, we get a unique encounter with a Sami reindeer herding family. Here we follow the artist's father and brother herding their family's reindeer on the tundra, in the northern part of Norway. Both the music and the film capture the essence of this unique lifestyle in the coldest part of winter. The old tradition is passed to the younger generation.
