of the 29th Hamburg International ShortFilmFestival at zeise 1 brought the short film form finally back where it belongs: on the big screen in front of a full house.

we had a big housewarming party at our wonderful festival center in Halle 5 at the Kolbenhof – in a classy setting, with inspiring conversations, delicious drinks and exotic reindeer ragout.

We live in style in our beloved NoBudget Hotel. Cosy sofas and mad films tempt the visitor to stay for good. Yesterday we finally opened our doors.

we not only screened short horror treasures in our packed festival club, we also presented something for the wild-hearted music lover: horror-punk and psychobilly by Eyaculación Post Mortem and the Motorzombis.

Due to the gorgeous summer night, our open-air screening of the Three-Minute-Quickie-Competition was completely sold out.

In a festive ceremony, we gave the Pilsner Urquell Audience Award to Dedowtschina by Maxim Kuphal-Potapenko.

Indietronica with violins: I’m Not A Band opened last night’s thrilling club experience.

Flutes, tuba, dadaistic madness: the band Die Vögel exploded in our festival club.

The Metropolis gave space to „A Different Point of Views“ – Hamburg’s programme for „Strange Days“, a cooperation between the Hamburg International ShortFilmFestival, Vienna Independent Shorts and the International Short Film Festival Winterthur.

Another endless summernight. Those who went home before dawn missed the whole festival.

With the festive awards ceremony in Halle 5 at the Kolbenhof we said goodbye to the 29th Hamburg International ShortFilmFestival. Before reality could disturb the warm darkness of last week’s screenings and summer nights, we once more hosted a glamorous party for all our award winners and the short film format.
