Jürgen Vollmer lernte die Beatles 1960 im Kaiserkeller kennen, hing mit ihnen ab, fotografierte sie, erfand die Pilzkopffrisur und schnitt den Beatles 1961 die Haare. Er rebellierte gegen die spießigen fünfziger und sechziger Jahre in Hamburg, floh nach Paris, fotografierte u.a. Anfang der Sechziger ›Halbstarke‹ beim Sex, landete dann später in New York und LA, arbeitete als Fotograf für Hollywoodfilme (»Es war meistens furchtbar« - O-Ton J.V.) und fotografierte diverse Stars. Der Film ist eine Montage aus Animationssequenzen, Interviews und Fotografien von Jürgen Vollmer.
Juergen Vollmer met The Beatles 1960 in Hamburg's music club Kaiserkeller. They hung around together, Vollmer started photographing them and when they met again in Paris, The Beatles insisted to get his haircut. Narrow-minded Hamburg of the 50s and 60s made him escape to Paris. He took pictures of beatniks while having sex, moved on to New York and L.A., where he started his career as set photographer on Hollywood filmsets (J.V.: »It was awful most of the time«) and took pictures of several stars.
